Dave McDonald
Adam Sykes drove one of the early Can Am cars, a Chinook Chevrolet, that were actually racing in the Surtees Trophy for unlimited sports prototypes between 64 & 66. The Chinook was notably slow in period relative to the Lolas and McLaren M1s. Surtees won the first Can Am championship in 66 in a Lola T70. The Can Am demo cars were mostly a bit later from 68 - 74. One owner from the USA had 7 Shadows there inc the one that Jackie Oliver used to win the championship in 1974 with Oliver driving it in the demo. Fantastic cars. Brute force in huge cars. What a sight. Dave McD
