Dave34052
Hi I've tried to fit, without success, a new glove box with the plenum assembly already fitted. Has any done this successfully? Who makes/sells the best replacement part? Dave
John Morrison
Yes done this, remove the longitudinal support and it goes up and in from behind John. Welcome to our forum, by the way.
stuart
Dont buy a plastic one as they dont fit, they are a fiddle just make sure you have the right spire nuts fitted to the box and then use a very thin screwdriver to centre one of the top screws and work from there and as John says remove the lower support first. Dave34052
Thanks John/Stuart for your tips - I'll try again. Dave
stillp
I steamed my fibre one to make it more flexible. Pete
Tr4aJim
I realize the shipping may be prohibitive, but I purchased a plastic glovebox from The Roadster Factory, and “it fit like a glove”(box). Jim
Dave34052
I have now fitted the fibre board box with not too much difficulty in the manner suggested earlier. Next time I fit one I will certainly think about steaming before fitting as the box, which had lain in my garage for some years. Thanks again for all the responses my request for help Dave34052
