RogerH
Trevor Francis became the first £1,000,000 English footballer in the 1970's joining Nottingham Forest From Birmingham. What a player. He was fast, gifted and always hungry for goals. Sadly today at the age of 69 he passed away. RIP Trevor Roger
Paul Hogan
Sadly his £1m price tag was more of an albatross than a mark of recognising his talent. It was if he always had to prove his worth and he became something of a target by opposing teams. Many of today's crop of players might attract huge transfer fees that makes Francis £1m price tag seem like small change but do they have his talent? hoges.
