TR 2100
I love to find out if my Dad's old 1962 TR4 is still out there somewhereIt doesn't look as if it has been taxed since 1985 on the DVLA site.. Commision Number CT5340/O That's a long time to be off the road, but don't give up hope. 20 years off the road awaiting restoration is not uncommon. It's a matter of time and resources, but we all get hooked on our TRs and don't like to part with them. My own TR4, CT 6759 O, registered 17.4.1962, has been off the road, unlicensed, since 1986 but it's still alive, though maybe not so well! (undergoing restoration by TR Enterprises to put it back in the best of health).
marko
I've tried the DVLA and they won't help - anyone else got any ideas? A bent policeman perhaps..?
BrianC
Marko, Options you may or may not have already tried: 1) Use the TRaction's 'Lost and Found' section - it will reach a different (and wider) audience. 2) Contact the TR4/4A registrar Jon Marshall (contact details in TRaction). 3) Perhaps one of the TR specialists such as TR Bitz or TRGB, may have either broken the car for spares or still have it in a field or shed awaiting sale/restoration. Best of luck - we are still trying to trace my old TR4A (704FGC) and have tried both the Forum and TRaction, but I have only just thought of options 2 and 3.
marko
1) Use the TRaction's 'Lost and Found' section - it will reach a different (and wider) audience. Tried that - no responses! D'oh 2) Contact the TR4/4A registrar Jon Marshall (contact details in TRaction). Tried Jon - helpful in providing the commision number then ignored all other emails - D'oh! 3) Perhaps one of the TR specialists such as TR Bitz or TRGB, may have either broken the car for spares or still have it in a field or shed awaiting sale/restoration. Haven't tried this, I still think my best and only chance is a slightly corrupt police orificer
