modelbuilder
Brilliant atmospheric shots of presumably the first day of this years Rally. https://heroevents.eu/photos/ Rodders.
Bleednipple
We were marshalling a Le Log time control in the Welsh borders between 1 and 4am this morning. Cold but fortunately dry. Hopefully the snow will stay off for the crews as they head north through Scotland tomorrow - unlike last year when it froze solid up in the Great Glen. In any weather a huge test of wo/man and machine - car 1 this year is an open top Bentley crewed by Bill Cleyndert and Emily Anderson, they're made of strong stuff. Bleednipple
The TR3A had to retire during Leg 3 yesterday (I don't know the cause) but there's a TR6 and a 2.5PI still hanging in! Scotland today. Nigel

Nigel Many years ago I watched a stage at the Cornwall show ground and there was a couple in a green label Bentley and she was hammering it round the stage with one hand and smacking her husband round the head for being late with direction calls with the other hand! Amazing woman. Stuart.

Amazing woman. Stuart. Ah yes every crew has their own communication protocols for the special tests, especially the "cone gymkhana" kind. Calmly-read pace notes they are not. In our car calls might be "bus stop on right", "start left thread three, donut 450 then pussy-bow", and my fave: "saggy t*ts". Pointing and yelling is allowed, physical chastisement is... discouraged.

She's a star nav, for sure. And handy with broken cars also, clever clutch cable repair on Rally of the Tests.
