Richardtr3a
I am just fitting my fuel tank back in the car and need some help. I am sure that we have covered this before, but as I connected the pipe to the outlet on the tank I was not sure if I should use my Heldite or PTFE tape. At the time it started to rain and I was laid out on the drive which has grass and earth ( mud ). I aligned the pipe and the tank and tightened up the connector and was back under cover as quick as possible. Please advise mr on sealer, no sealer or my sealers. There is no fuel in the tank yet. Richardtr3a
Thanks for the help. I poured one gallon into the fitted tank and there have been no leaks for 4 hours. The engine is running well and the fuel gauge is working. Time to refit the back wheel and stop worrying.
