Graham
Could somebody post a couple of pictures of how the seat belt mounting 615968 should be fitted please, I think the end with the nut on it gets sandwiched between the inner wing and the back of the b post/sill, but I’m not sure if the angle should sit inside or outside of the bottom of the wheel arch, outside make more sense but can’t find any pictures to confirm. Z320
I bought this item many years ago and was not able to get it fitted on my TR4A. In my opinion it was bended wrong, I hope yours fit better. Ciao, Marco
gloide69
I puzzled over this part for a while, there is some info in this thread https://www.tr-register.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/71880-new-b-post/&tab=comments#comment-658455 Paul
Z320
Sorry me, in my opinion the position is anyway „disadvantageous“, guiding the belt flat backwards. This way it can happen belt slips up and in the case is an accident it doesn’t hold you on your seat. I fixed the end of the belt straight downwards near the seat on the flow. To do this I used M10 (or M12?) „forkheads“ and big steal plate from below. Also I used very shot locks on the other side to get the belt straight down and not flat back. Look how the belt is guided on yor modern car. But finally everybody is invited to do this how he wants. Ciao, Marco
stuart
Like this so the nut is behind the "B" post back and it lines up with the hole at the rear of the inner sill behind the bottom of the inner wing.. Stuart. Edited July 7, 2022 by stuart
