Tim T
I hope that this is not a stupid question but, firstly, is it safe to support a wire wheeled car by putting a suitable 2 ton axle stand under each of the 4 adaptor splines with suitable cushioning ? Secondly is this also an acceptable way of having the suspension loaded in order to finally tighten the suspension fixings? Putting the supports here gives a much larger uninterrupted area for working underneath. Many thanks, Tim
stuart
I wouldnt. I would drive it round the block several times to get it levelled up and then either get it over a pit or on a full 4 post ramp or if none available run it up on ramps just high enough to access. John Morrison
I wouldn't either, to easy to kick one whilst you are under the car and maybe move it. John.
Tim T
Good enough for me then! Thanks, Tim
Tim D.
Although if you leave the wheel nut on it would be challenging to kit the axle stand out.. Tim
