pfenlon
were heaters still an optional extra on the tr4 models? TIA.
John Morrison
Hi Pete, good to hear from you! Pretty sure heater was standard on the TR4, everyone I've ever seen has the heater controls ex the factory on the H frame. John.
pfenlon
Hello John, just came across a late TR4, number 39K+, and the heater outlet is plugged at the back of the head, and the dash hasn't got the heater control cable. I also thought it was a standard feature, which is why I asked here, keep well Pete.
RAHTR4
Hi Pete, The heater was always an optional extra on both the TR4 and TR4A. Regards, Richard
Chilliman
Quote The heater was always an optional extra on both the TR4 and TR4A. Yes, I have one of the original Standard Triumph price lists from May 1962 which lists all the cars and also the optional extras which includes the heater for a sum of £15 2/6 including purchase tax. Another interesting optional extra offered apart from the overdrive/wire wheels/leather seats etc is a pair of sun visors for an additional £1 7/6. The list also shows that only vehicle they supplied at that time to be fitted with a heater & screenwashers as standard equipment was a Standard 'Companion'
