simonjrwinter
I've got a short video clip of Richard Hammond driving my old car, just thought the owner might like a copy. Simon
ianhoward
Did you have to put blocks on the pedals for him!!!
Andrew Smith
Did you have to put blocks on the pedals for him!!! Even with pedal blocks and a booster seat fitted the "Hamster" probably couldn't see over the bonnet when it rises up as the rear squats down under acceleration!! jonlar
Brings to mind the Bonzo Dog Doodah Band 'I'm the urban spaceman baby, I've got speed . . . I've got everything you need'. Ah, the day's of Vivian Stanshall - also did the commentary on Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells!
Bald Rick
I think the speed Viv Stanshall had in mind had more to do with altitude than velocity folks! Tony Edited April 19, 2006 by mollyqotz
cp25616
Even with pedal blocks and a booster seat fitted the "Hamster" probably couldn't see over the bonnet when it rises up as the rear squats down under acceleration!! Brings back of memories of "Fireball XL5" when it took off. The thing I want to know is was the hamster the pilot in those days??? Dont pilots have to be a minimum height, like 5' 3" or something? Mind you having seen the hamsters performance as a back seat driver in James May's Cessna on Top Gear then probably not !!!! Alan X755
