jimcwestie
I have bought a new injector pipe to replace the chaffed existing pipe. Do I need to bleed the injector or will it self bleed? Thanks Jim
peejay4A
Personally I would fire it up and see if it self bleeds. Sometimes they do and sometimes not in my experience. If it’s OK then drive on, otherwise it’s easy to pop out the injector and bleed it.
ianhoward
Hi Jim Changed all six when I changed the MU out a year or two ago... All eventually self bled - took a fair bit of cranking... Cheers Ian
Mike C
You could try self bleeding if only 1 injector is involved. You'll need to rev it a bit (say 3000rpm) to stop air slugs "bouncing" the fuel back and forth in the injector lines- at idle it'd never clear the line.
