pfenlon
I am looking to have a pair of front grilles anodised, (MK 1 Spitfire) and have found this firm in Birmingham, has anyone used them before and would you recommend them. I know nought about anodising, they are very dull.
RogerH
Hi Pete, are they already anodised? if so that will need removing. Not sure what the pro's use but Caustic soda will remove it (and your fingers) There is an anodising dye that will give a very good shine - 'Bright' anodising. How they get the surface very clean and brightish before hand I do not know. It must all be chemical based. Roger
peejay4A
Consider powder coating. It doesn’t require removal of the previous anodising and my 4A grille will stand close examination to tell the difference.
John Morrison
Pete, I am a fan of Caustic Soda, It sorts radiators out like nothing else on the planet, but for goodness sake, take care with it, read the packet, and wear eye protection. John.
