RogerH
Hi Nick, if it is anything like the 4A then you need to remove the wooden dash. The lump with the door in it comes off from behind (pulling forward). held in with some screws. The plastic is held in with little clips. If you remove the metal dash it is dead easy. Coulstock
Thanks Roger, I haven't made myself clear. I am rebuilding my TR6 so it is already in pieces. I am talking about taking apart the actual circular louvre assembly/vent and removing the plastic insert Part no 713040 so that i can strip and refurbish the metal casing without damaging the metal or plastic. RogerH
Hi Nick, I've not played with the TR6 vents but does this pic help (from the Moss WebCat) http://www.moss-europe.co.uk/shop-by-model/triumph/tr5-6/interior/dashboards-consoles/dash-crash-pads-fittings-tr5-6.html Roger
Mark69
Hi Nick. This is a job I have already completed, you will find on the back of the metal ring four tags that hold the ring in place. Ease these out carefully and this should release the ring and eyeball vent. I cleaned the felt on mine rather than replace put the eyeballs in the dishwasher and painted the metal rings. Simple easy job. Mark
