A new aluminium one cost more than that, and is not as good so for me the choice was very easy. A company in Coventry did the job and the guy I spoke to said the alu ones in addition to be less efficient is much more likely to crack/split/leak so he would not recommend alu to anyone unless maybe for racing due to weight.
