pfenlon
I suppose the answer is simple, but why were the body mountings of the Canvas type used, instead of a steel / aluminium washer arrangement?
Guest ntc
You should have the rubber replacements
BlueTR3A-5EKT
My view is that the rubber coated canvas packings (Kautex) are used to allow for the body to chassis movement to happen without fretting of the body/chassis steel mating surfaces. Then again..... Peter W
stuart
Insulation of the different materials steel to ally. The rubber/canvas ones dont compress as much as the plain rubber ones BTW which means your body shimming is more accurate. FWIW I have some nylon spacers same shape as the ally ones, any idea where they came from as I found them at an autojumble years ago? Stuart.
