Crawfie
The paint on my bonnet is really starting to look awful. For whatever reasons i have small blisters popping up and what looks like crazy paving under the top coat. Basically it looks like cr@p and needs repainting. Could the sages give me a general idea of the price I will be looking at ? I've contacted a couple of body shops and the prices have been @£200 per panel and £50 per panel too blend it in to the wings. I this reasonable ?
mike3739
One for Stuart I think, what colour do you have? Some are harder to match than others. Cheers Mike

HarveyCoppock
Funnily enough, ditto, boot lid also on the crazy front. Resprayed a year or so ago straight onto flatted off old top coat, only primed areas I had repaired (all cellulose) think should have primed it all. Sides not gone same way, but cut a hell of a lot of paint off bonnet and bootlid. Going to strip them soon and start again..... Seem to be various causes of crazing, but mine looks like thinners being able to attack old top coat. Think my blisters from small corroded pits in bonnet originaly. Steve T
On any older cars I've painted, I've always used a barrier paint to stop any unwanted reactions.
stuart
Most causes of crazing is too many layers of paint and the lower ones are shrinking, only real cure is bare metal it. Stuart.
