Big end and main bearings

Hi

Just had the crank reground and im looking for advise on bearings

Are county bearings ok as supplied by rimmers?

The crank is 30 undersize and the block is a 2.2 very mild upgrade

Any experiances apreciated

Speedy Spares has been around for half a century, originally a spinoff from Grimes of Coulsdon, a name familiar to Rootes enthusiasts of long ago like yours truly. Excellent company, I can heartily recommend.

Those Glacier bearings are one third of the cost of modern equivalents, TR and Vanguard engines utilised the same main bearings . . . .

 

Don't be tempted by the Ensign Deluxe head gaskets also on offer, though - the same 2138cc capacity as the TR, but utilising the smaller diameter Vanguard type studs.

Im ordering a set 30 thou under size at 30 plus vat each

Same price as rimmers for county
