Tonyloz
Hi If I fit a tubular exhaust manifold do I have to wrap it to keep the heat down in the engine bay? Quite like the Un wrapped look but is it feasible, don't want to cook the starter motor. Any experiences? Thanks Tony
Lebro
You could get the inside coated in ceramic insulation (see posts on "Camcoat") That is what I have done - 2 coats inside, none outside. I f you have an alternator that will benefit from shielding probably more that the starter motor. Bob.

BlueTR3A-5EKT
Wrapped mine in what looks like asbestos matting backed with tin foil from a Land Rover, all tied in place with stainless steel locking wire. Works a treat, although a bit ugly now the matting is going fluffy - reduced the high under bonnet temp issues.
