jean
Nice upgrades for the six. Well done as long as she looks from outside like a standard/normal TR6...
jean
Mick, I did the same on my 6, gives a little more protection against fuel spill in case of a tail shunt... every second counts..
Speed
thanks all, will get this firewall situation checked out as well she will look pretty standard overall just a touch lower ignoring the roll bar and maybe revolutions , sorry all purists
Motorsport Mickey
thanks all, will get this firewall situation checked out as well she will look pretty standard overall just a touch lower ignoring the roll bar and maybe revolutions , sorry all purists Alloy Firewall is pretty reasonable, around about £60ish pre cut out from one of the TR specialists, TR Enterprises/Racetorations/Revingtons and probably most of the others. Not bad to fit yourself and can be done without marking your car where it shows and after fitment nobody can see that it's in place protecting you from fire in case the worst happens. Remove the rear cockpit trim panel (fibreboard) the alloy firewall will push into position covering the forward face of the fuel tank, (it may need a little fettling for fit, no TRs are the same) and there will likely be two alloy smaller panels supplied which fit around and above the wheel arches that need connecting to it. Secure the firewall to the rear frame with poprivets about 25mm apart after sealing inbetween the firewall and the frame with intumescent sealer or Indasa windscreen sealant, and the same between the smaller panels and the larger firewall panel also. Then put your fibreboard back in front and nobody knows except you. Mick Richards Edited July 25, 2015 by Motorsport Mickey
