TR Tim
Hi All Started replacing the injector hoses on my 5 today. The question is, can this be done without removing the metering unit? The hoses which are attached to the part of the metering unit closest to the engine block seem impossible to get to. Any advice gratefully received. Cheers Tim
peejay4A
I removed it to do mine without even trying the gyrations necessary to get at the engine side unions.
Rob Salisbury
Hi Tim, the simple answer is no, not possible with the metering unit attached to the engine, the bolts (which contain non-return valves ) for ports 2 and 5 are 33.5 mm long (I've got one in front of me just now), so even if you wriggled one out, you'd never be sure of getting the seals lined up on re-assembly.
