Guest David William Hunt
Those of you unlucky enough to see the Glos. Citizen or Echo on Frid 22nd April will have been in for a treat!! The weekly 'Driving Force' Mag. carries a whole page article by a guy , unbelievably called Zog Ziegler, on the TR7, headed Triumph or Disaster? In an article that makes Jeremy Clarkson sound positively polite, these are some of the things he has to say------ 'When a certain Harris Mann presented his controversial wedge shaped sketches to Leylands management two things should have swiftly occurred. First Mr Mann should have been shown the door, followed by an order to file his laughable drawing into one of the many strikers braziers that seemingly burned forever outside any Leyland Plant.........' and: 'With all the get up and go of a lethargic sloth combined with all the charm of a rapacious diseased hyena, the TR7 left the all important Yanks cold................mercifully the rust mites have accounted for most of them' 'When they finally deep-six the last one, will a single soul weep at the graveside?' Now, now chaps don't overreact--its only a newspaper article! Seriously though, does anyone know where Mr Ziegler lives? I'm penning a suitable reply just as soon as my blood pressure returns to normal.
