Revolution
Hello Everyone, When fitting new polybushes to the front suspension is the torque setting the same as if fitting the original rubber bushes? Can't seem to find the answer Thank you, Nick
RogerH
Hi Nick, I believe they are a straight swap; so the same torque. However I don't think I have ever torqued any of these nuts - normal 12" long spanner and very tight. Roger
littlejim
Bit of detergent if they are recalcitrant.
Revolution
Thanks for your prompt replies guys...........think my word of the day will be "recalcitrant !"
Lebro
When the nuts are tightened, they should bottom on the stepped stud so they should be tightened to a torque approprate to the thread dia / pitch. In other words the same as if original rubber bushes were fitted. Bob.
wjr85
Same torque settings as if original, that is what I was told by a well known TR specialist and is what I done myself only very recently. John
