Chilp3
Good afternoon, I'm looking for an original Triumph TR6 gearknob for my 1973 CR series car. I've currently got one of the commonly fitted wooden ones but am keen to return to the original type which is believe is a black tapered gearknob with the gear layout recessed into the top? Should any fellow TR enthusiasts have one stored away in good condition not being used I would be delighted to hear from you. As always I'm happy to pay a fair price and the cost of postage. Thank you for taking the time to read this post. Best Regards, Peter

BlueTR3A-5EKT
Funny. Have been looking for CP gear knob for years. I wonder where they have all gone ? Tim What shape do you want the plain spherical black ball or the black teardrop with the gear gate image etched on the top? There are two sizes of teardrop. All were internally threaded to fit an original gearstick. pm me. Cheers Peter W
TRseks
Not sure what the original gearknob looks like for my 70 TR6 us model but I bought one of these: It is actually for a TR2-3, probably a bit smaller than the original TR6 but I still like it. Threads are finer than what I got on the gearstick but I will find a way around that. Edited November 29, 2013 by TRseks

That knob has a 7/16 x 32 ME thread and you want 5/16 x 18 UNC thread so an adaptor will be needed - you should be able to do it, but the wall will be very thin. flatlandsman
Late TR6 is the pear shaped one not the spherical one. It's quite short, certainly shorter than in the pic, but despite what lots of people thought, it's quite nice in the hand..... noit as nice as some other things though!!
