Windscreen Frame to Scuttle Seal

Recommended Posts

Just did this job, one previous owner had used a silicon based sealant which was a pain to get off.

As I have understood some use nothing...

I used Indasa Windscreen Sealant myself, a non hardening sealer made for rubber windscreen gaskets, £7.25 on ebay, will also use this on the windscreen gasket after I have installed that.

Still not sure if I should buy a new window or use the old one, does anyone know where the best place to buy a "good" windscreen or are they all the same quality?

I reckon its more important to seal the joint between the rubber and the screen frame.

The frame is a lumpy shape and the rubber does not fill all the gaps.

The rubber lip makes a pretty good seal onto the deck surface, so if you just sealed the ends, I think it would probably be OK.
