TR Paul
Hi everybody, recently I have been experiencing some unusual cooling problems with 'Troy', my 1970 CP TR6. He runs fairly well (given the current high ambient temperatures),at just over half way on the temp gauge at low speeds & in traffic, but give him any 'welly' (to use the technical term),the needle on the gauge goes up to around the three quarters point. I'm running a recently (last week) re-cored rad,a Kenlowe fan, with no major engine mods,& the fanbelt isn't slipping. I've flushed the engine with Holts 'speedflush', & the water comes out clean as a whistle. I'm now thinking it could be the water pump; Any thoughts..? Best wishes, Paul. TR NIALL
Is the Kenlow Blowing/Pushing the correct way if so suspect the Water Pump.
TR Paul
Hi Niall, yes the Kenlowe is functioning as intended; sounds like you've confirmed my suspicions. Cheers, Paul
