cliveinfrance
Hi Everyone............. Perhaps a silly question but I am updating data for the 4A, and trying to find good equivalents to the original recommended lubricants, prior to a very full service on the car. So, question is: What is the equivalent or best modern product, to replace.... Shell Spirax 90EP.....and Shell Retinax A ? Steering....Gearbox and Rear Axle........Wheel Bearings. Looking forward to answers on this one !!! regards Clive
wayne taylor
I rang one of the TR specialists who advised. Good though this forum is - you're inviting an Irish parliament over this one - by default. Any old EP90 will do really.
ChrisR-4A
EP 80/90 should be "GL4" as this does not have the modern addatives which are harmfull to copper thrust washers etc. Otherwise any well known make will be ok.
