Andrew Smith
Robin, They are more likely to be fixing studs for the early Rostyle wheel trims fitted to TR5s and early TR6s. Cheers Andrew
JJohn
Hi Robin, The first production 6's, like the 5's, had Rostyle disc wheel trims which were secured by the pins on the wheel in your picture. Jim
Ashley
Hi Robin, I have the same wheels on my tr6. I am not very keen on the rostyle trims so mine are fitted with the standard black centre trims. Most people don't notice that there is a difference until I point it out. Personally I think that they look great, and have no intention of changing them. I believe that they were fitted to the cars made upto Sept 1969. Good luck with the restoration. BlueTR3A-5EKT
They are '69 model TR6 for Rostyle hub caps. I have a set fitted to my TR3, giving me 5 1/2" wide rims. I removed, turned down and refitted the hub cap studs to accept my regular chrome TR hub caps. The wheels were £5.00 each new Triumph items from a bloke called Buckles in Mitcham in 1973. The were painted brown not silver. Cheers Peter W Edited November 3, 2012 by BlueTR3A-5EKT
