I personally don't think that Minilite wheels suit the sidescreen cars. (to each his own!!). Tom.
stuart
Tom they do look more period, unfortunately the price is "a tad on the expensive side." Stuart.
Fireman049
Hi Stuart ~ I was quoted about £1400.00p some time ago for a set of five genuine Minilites and I think I paid about £1600.00p for the Dunlops so not a very big difference. Regards ~ Tom. Edited September 13, 2012 by Fireman049
Don H.
Thanks for those images, Tom -- I've been looking for someone who's done exactly what you've done. The Dunlops look fantastic on your car. They do suit the sidescreen TRs better, IMHO. Don 1962 TR3B TSF202L

Fireman049
I bought the wheels from Frontline Developments, Abingdon. Contact Ed Braclik on 01235 832632 and ed@frontlinedevelopments.com Tom.
Mike Graham
Certainly everyone has their own opinion about looks. I'm happy with my minilite clones so far (although I've not actually driven the car yet!); however, the major difference is price. I paid £275 for the set of 4 from Rimmers when they were on sale. Even with shipping to Canada they were much less expensive than any other option I could find. Cheers, Mike Edited September 13, 2012 by Mike Graham
Fireman049
Hi Mike ~ I love your car ~ I always wanted a small mouth TR3 because they look so much nicer than the 3A ~ Lucky man!! Regards ~ Tom.
Mike Graham
Thanks Tom. Hope to sort out the last few puzzles, and then get it back on the road pretty soon. Cheers, Mike

I personally don't think that Minilite wheels suit the sidescreen cars. (to each his own!!). Tom. Tom: I agree that the minilites aren't the best fit on the early cars. I am very interested in your new steel-wheel looking wheels. We had to sort through several steel wheels before we could find 5 acceptable ones. AND once you kerb them you may never get them straight again! So, can you tell us the part number or other designation of your wheels. I have been on a number of site which advertise Dunlop wheels and have not been able to find them. Thanks, Frank

Fireman049
Hi Frank ~ Contact Ed Braclik at ed@frontlinedevelopments.com I bought the wheels from them. There are two styles ~ the ones I've got have the large ventilation holes but there is also a version with large and small holes (I prefer the ones I bought as they look more like the standard TR wheels).
