peejay4A
Before I attack my lovely new body with the drill can someone tell me where the wires from the reversing lights enter the boot? Thanks. Edited August 29, 2012 by peejay4A
RogerH
Hi Pete, not sure on specifics but most things attached to the back pass through the inner wings just for ward of the tail lights. It's where the number plate lighting wire goes. Roger
Bob Smith
Pete, As Roger says it would make sense to use the existing holes in the inner wings for the number plate wiring to gain access to the boot area but dont forget that the back of your reversing lights are in a wet area (even with wheel arch liners) and as such need to be well protected against water ingress. peejay4A
Thanks guys, I'll look for the holes, they weren't obvious so I'll look harder. I recognised the water problem so used plenty of sealant, a lot of which I ended up wearing. Incidentally Roger, those lamp cases you sent me gave me the confidence to set about fitting the repro rear lights so thanks for that. More sealant and a big rubber hammer and they are fitted. I did chip the paint in one spot though.
