PaulR
Hi All CT24209 is running reasonably well but I'm not quite happy that pick up is as sharp as it once was. On deceleration there are pops and burbles ( which I actually quite like-sounds sporty) from the exhaust. They were never there when I was happy with how she was running she I wondered if anyone could explain a cause, I'm suspecting ignition timing or perhaps too weak a mixture or both. Thanks in Advance Paul
peejay4A
Weak mixture and/or an induction air leak would be my guess.

ianc
Strange as it may seem, holes in the exhaust system can lead to this popping. When my original SAH exhaust, fitted to 4VC in 1962, started to fall apart for the 3rd time at the brazed joints, I suffered this annoyance. I purchased the modern repro of the SAH manifold (but with welded joints) and this cured the problem immediately. Ian Cornish
