paul.r
My existing SU air filters have crumbled, and I was considering replacing them with KN pancakes. However, having spoken to a number of well known suppliers, there would seem to be confusion over which KN filter is the correct one – I’ve been quoted KN56-9096, KN56-9132 and others. Any ideas which make for the best fit? Many thanks
Ade-TR4
I can't remember the PN for the ones I had on my SUs, but they were approx 1&3/4 deep. There are deeper ones, but there may be issues with clearance under thebonnet/ wheelarch. The thinner version gave ample clearance., K&Ns website will give you the dimensions. paul.r
Thanks for the advice. Eventually ordered some K&Ns (part number KN56-9132) which fit well, and seem to have improved the performance – probably also helped by a good clean of the carbs.
PaulAnderson
I think the model number for mine was KNSD48, but fitting them changes the mixture so you may have to tune the car again, maybe changing the carburettor needles Paul
