alanwcoote
Weather, sunny with a bitting wind The TR competitors and crews where as usual accommodating, great banter and a pleasure to be around. The racing was top draw throughout the day and just walking round the paddock and seeing all those cars immaculately prepared with there owners showing such enthusiasm towards there sport in the economic climate we are in was thought provoking to say the least. Did anyone else attend ? A couple of conversations did go down the road of ; it would be nice if there was a little more support. Cadwell park in a couple of weeks HSCC Ill be there Regards Alan
john.r.davies
How did it go with the permanent yellows between McLeans and Coppice? John
Mike Hazlewood
How did it go with the permanent yellows between McLeans and Coppice?John Hi John, I don't think it really affected the racing to much at all, We were warned that any drivers disregarding the flags in the race would be severely dealt with by the clerk of the course . It only became an issue when the lead cars started to lap the slower cars at the tail end but they read the situation well and more than likely used it to there advantage. Results for the TR's in the Thoroughbred race. Mike Hazlewood; 1st in class, 7th overall. Roy Chamberlain; 3rd in class, 11th overall. Steve Chapman; 6th in class, 22nd overall, ( but he did run out of fuel on the last lap but qualified as a finisher ). Eddy Driver; Qualified but had an overheating problem, started the race but did not finish. Hopefully someone will write a report of the whole race and put it on the forum or send it to the mag with some pictures.
