nickthepedal
Can i ask for thoughts as to the best oil to feed the Yellow Peril with please ? The car is a 1974 PI model. My guess is a 20/50 ( if such a thing still exists ) probably mineral based rather than the synthetic stuff. Thanks Nick.

Nick, this is another question that comes up frequently and here is a good place to start: http://www.tr-register.co.uk/forums/index....st&p=100767 If you have not heard of the issues with older flat tappet engines now would be a good time to familiarize yourself with the whole ZDDP topic. Actual oils vary by region, here in the US I use Valvoline VR1 racing oil but you can also buy zddp additives Stan
Richard Crawley
It’s not advisable to use modern low viscosity oils, the engine isn’t designed for them & it can lead to low oil pressures when hot. Personally, I use Millers 20/50 classic but Penright also has a good reputation.
Kevin Warrington
Duckhams Q 20/50. It's fairly easily available and not expensive. Kevin
