angelfj
I wouldn't ask if these weren't so expensive over here ($300) , but can this be restored or is it beyond hope?
Dick
Only fit for the scrap bin I am afraid. There must be loads of left hand drive steering boxes in the UK from converted USA cars. Why don't you place a 'wanted' ad. on this forum. Regards Dick.
BrianC
Dick is right on both counts, but also raises an interesting question (at least for me ): I never realised there was a difference between the inner column/worm fitted to LHD and RHD cars, but on checking, there certainly are different part numbers. So, what is the difference?
uvc166
Frank , sorry it's scrap . I bought a RHD worm 15 years ago £90. Brian, I think there cut at a different angle , as in right hand or left hand thread, Cheers Paul.

Dick
The difference is right and left hand threads. The rest of the box is the same apart from the main casting which is handed. Dick.
Don Elliott
I know that the lids are also different for left and right hand drive.
