Guest ntc
Pink The Weber car? which is no 1? did you due a correct plug cut?
barkerwilliams
Pink, Is it a PI? if so how did you stop the car before removing the plugs? My understanding is that the 6 always runs rich at tickover, so to get a reasonable reading you have to drive the car until hot, then drive at 2000’ish revs for a couple of minutes then stop and kill the engine. Then remove the plugs to check the colour. (once cool ) If it's carburettors forget the above! Alan
RogerH
Hi Alan, I think your process is also good carb engines. Rev at 2000+ for 2 or 3 minutes. The cut the ignition but with the throttle in the 2000rpm position. If you back the throttle off it will richen the colour of the plugs. Roger
Guest ntc
4000 rpm.as you hit the kill switch let go of the throttle only after the car is hot after a run.

KiwiTR6
Hi Pink. As someone with very little experience of the TR6 but a lot with modern motorcycles and Jet Skis, I'd be very happy if the plugs from my car looked as good as that! Unfortunately, not as yet. As a matter of interest, does you engine have an external oil feed to the rockers? I've just removed mine and I suspect this will help improve things. Gavin
