1973blue
Gretings, I recently built a box with new synchro rings sourced from rimmer as their premium rings. In the past I have usually had some good oem used rings laying around but exhausted my supply on thee last box. Anyhow, the premium rings looked ok and seemed to match the originals but at least one of them seems to stick on the gear and then locks up the box at least so it will not turn by hand until ring is pried of of the gear hub. Has anyone else had this experience?
Malbaby
Rimmers premium can be problematic.
1973blue
I have seen other aftermarket synchros built poorly, out of round, too narrow etc but that usually results in inadequate braking of the gear cone and crunching changes but getting stuck on the cone is a new one one me..
