phil Dean
Early next week I am going to remove the Diff out of my TR4A ready to take to Peter Cox Sports cars the week after. has anybody got any tips, dos and don'ts. I know its advisable to support the swinging arms and half shafts especially as the car will be on axle stands for 3/4 weeks !!!but any other pointers might be helpful. Thanks for the help and advice as usual. Phil.
harlequin
An extra pair of hands will be useful as the dif is awkward and heavy. When it's out check for cracks in the mounting points and if you have the original type rear rubber bushes check that they are not coming apart. George
stillp
Watch out for the fuel pipe running under the LH axle shaft. Ask me why I give that warning... Pete
phil Dean
Thanks Pete for the tip on fuel pipe I placed a thin metal sheet in front of the fuel pipe and sure enough it ended up bent with a dent in it. With out that I think it could have been hanging of the petrol pipe Phil.
