MKTR
Hi All, I started to dismantle an old TR4 starter motor to check and clean the parts. To my surprise the pinion shaft has a smooth round castelated nut rather than the usual circlip, and it wil not budge. Shaft securely held in vice but nut will not turn at all, despite soaking in oil. Can I check that this undoes in a clockwise manner, and are there any tips to get this off. Cheers Mark
john.r.davies
If it has LocTite on it, heat it. 250C is enough, NOT red-heat!
