Kenrow
I would like to replace my seals with some ethanol compliant ones. Is this something that can be done by the home mechanic or something I need to send out?
Mike C
Do you have carbs or PI? I've replaced many original elastomer parts in my PI system with Viton. The hard bit is finding the Viton components, other than O rings.
Kenrow
I have PI and a Metering Unit Seal Kit from Chris Witor which is Viton. As I'm in the states I would hope not to have to ship things out for repair.
Mike C
This might help: https://app.box.com/s/zz3e6x4gr4u7t360makeqbm0adxr4cu9 When working on the MU, I've replaced seals/diaphragms but never touched any internal adjustments. That said when I had my MU and injectors professionally rebuilt and recalibrated by an expert with a Lucas test rig , it vastly improved the car's performance. Nigel Triumph
I've also used the Chris Witor seal set on my MU. Seems to be good quality after 2 years service. Chris doesn't sell anything he wouldn't fit to his own Triumphs. Nigel
