Matt1969
Hi Got a couple of bursts of revs unexpectedly last week, and this week I am now getting fuel starvation (no racing). Have the gods of TR6 stuff got any thoughts on this before I start my ham handed investigations? Matt
john.r.davies
Pi is controlled by the intake manifold 'vacuum', which is maximum at idle and least at wide open throttle. I'd suspect an air leak somewhere, causing the vacuum to lessen and misleading the M/u to add more fuel. A quick spray with something inflammable (brake cleaner, WD40) around the gasket edges will show a leak there, as a momentary speed up from idle. But an intermittent leak?? Butterflies loose on the throttle bar??? "Fuel starvation"? Why do you think that? John
Matt1969
Yesterday when I was driving it was losing power at mid-higher revs and it struggled to start once or twice. Deffo felt like a fue problem, but who knows......
john.r.davies
OK, then, Run the engine, extract each injector in turn to inspect the spray pattern. Then have you seen this page: http://www.lucasinjection.com/Lucas Mk2 manual page 14.htm John Edited August 11, 2023 by john.r.davies
Mike C
If this is happening with high ambient temperatures you could be experiencing fuel vapourization.
