RONALD MIHLRAD
wondering if a 1980 TR7 DHC would have had the unleaded fuel sticker around the gas cap?
john.r.davies
If it was fitted with a catalytic converter, yes. And TR7s had them from 1977 so yes. John
HowardB
Ronald, The majority of TR register forum users are from the UK and the UK/European cars and never had catalytic converters fitted so they run equally well on leaded or unleaded fuel. The cars that did have catalytic converters were those exported to the USA to meet Federal emission standard, so the answer depends on which country you are in. RONALD MIHLRAD
I LIVE IN THE UNITED STATES AND MY CAR DOES HAVE A CATALYTIC CONVERTER THANKS FOR THE INFO!!!!!!
BlueTR3A-5EKT
Picture from 1979 TR7 parts book - Yes. This was specified by Leyland for MG cars of the same era. I suspect the TR7/8 version was not that different. https://www.classicrepro.co.uk/product/unleaded-fuel-label/
