earckens
On my 1964 TR4 the radiator fan (6 blade version) has one broken blade. The engine does not run rougher because the balance is not too far off; yet I have a spare 6-blade fan ready for instalment. Apart fromt he fact that I will have to disconnect the upper radiator hose from the engine block in order to move the radiator forward (to be able to access the fan mounting bolts) are there any recommendations/warnings/issues/... I better taken into consideration for this job? Many thanks for your replies! Regards, Erik
BlueTR3A-5EKT
From memory the actions you describe should be fine to replace the fan assembly. Tape a piece of cardboard or better still 3 mm hardboard to the rearward face of the radiator so when you slip with the spanner or fan, the radiator might be protected. Devil’s Advocate. - Not a cheap solutioN. - Take it off and fit an electric fan.
