Front Valance Paint Colors

Recommended Posts

Does anyone have a photo of a properly painted front valance? I believe the top edge is body color, the mid-section satin black, and the bottom section body color. Is that correct?

Thanks in advance!

I thought it was all body colour.

For the sake of clarity, are we talking 5 or 250? When you say mid-section is that the part behind the grille?

I was particularly interested in the 250 but it would be interesting to know what the 5 had. General consensus here in the USA they were hand painted behind the grill with a brush. Quite sloppily at th at (see photo with drips through holes). Some believe this only applied to the lighter color cars, the dark colors remained body color.

Correct, AFIK only on lighter coloured cars and very roughly done too.

Stuart.
