Biggles
I'm clearly shorter than the last owner of the car and I'm having trouble moving the seat. With the lever moved all the way to the left the seat still refuses to budge. The same method works, just, on the passenger side and I'm wondering if there is a knack or whether I should start disassembling things to get to the problem. With the seat squab lifted out, there are 8 nuts visible. If I undo these will I be able to get to the runner mechanism?
billy l
Yes, That will give access to the runners, I find with mine the seat can go off centre which can jam the runners when trying to adjust, A bit of a wiggle from side to side is required to free it. Cheers, Bill.
Richardtr3a
I have a TR3a and I cleaned up the runners with a wire brush and used a very small swear of silicon lubricant and it has all been working well for years. Good luck Richard & B
Biggles
It's done. I undid the nuts and spoke sternly to it and it finally came around to my way of thinking and moved. Thanks for the help as ever.
