Bob Horner
My TR4 boot lid has rusted along the lower edge and got to decide whether to repair or replace. Read a couple of threads on repair but, as don’t have the kit or skills to do it myself, it may be more cost effective to replace. Any one got any views on quality of new steel or aluminium replacements? Thanks in anticipation! Bob

Rob Salisbury
Hi Bob, Bastuck boot lids cost quite a bit but are a very good fit, very pleased with the one I got from The TRShop, you have to restore and use your old frame or buy a new one. Bob Horner
Thanks Rob, that’s good to know. The description on the Revington website for a new lid doesn’t fill me with confidence - seems to say out of the box the fit Is poor! Bastuck do seem to do quality stuff. Malbaby
Even a replacement lid may have to be altered to achieve good panel gaps. I would have your existing lid repaired, not a difficult task. And you can be assured of a good fit.
