Alfie14 Posted September 3, 2021 Report Share Posted September 3, 2021 On checking the ignition to try solve bunny hopping in 1st gear l removed contact points without making a note of which order the yellow wire from the condenser and the black wire from the coil go, either side of the spring or nylon spacer? RobH Posted September 4, 2021 Report Share Posted September 4, 2021 That looks right I think - the two wires to the condenser and the coil should be in contact with the spring but insulated from the pillar. There shouldn't really be a spark from the points though - the condenser is supposed to stop that. Probably it is just the camera angle but your points spring looks very bowed towards the dizzy case.
