signalredshaker Posted March 5, 2020 Report Share Posted March 5, 2020 Hi, Not having given this a thought before now as its more or less hidden in the Teaclemeit filter head, but what is the proper way of ensuring the ring shown is the right tightness- or is it a case of fully tight and that's it and there's no adjustment required? There seems to be the possibility that this may be adjustable as there seems to be plenty of thread to go at but I can find nothing in any manual about it. BlueTR3A-5EKT Posted March 5, 2020 Report Share Posted March 5, 2020 For my money just screw in tight. Ensure the spring, ball and seating are clean and the ball seats ok. Over the years I have only ever given the thing a good clean with some kind of solvent. As you know it is there to allow oil flow in the event of a filter blockage.
