Buying a TR7

Recommended Posts

Thinking of buying a TR7 project, after some advice on what to look out for, I have seen one that looks good but I suspect the sills may need replacing, and a wing, any further advice as to what I should avoid would be much appreciated.

Sills, wings....and the rest. They were rust buckets from new, which is why so few have survived. Look for one with a fully documented rebuild with serious rust-proofing. if you are skiied with welding and metal fabrication you might succeed but the 7 is monocoque and will not be an easy car to learn those skills on.
