barry p cook
Thanks Tim, Not sure I need it yet. About to start doing some body repairs on my sons TR7 but wouldn't be surprised if I also find the engine needs work. Regards, Barry
HowardB
The head removal tool does work . My head has to come off last year (for the first time in the car's life) and after using the tool + loads of penetrating oil it came off eventually. The head lifted enough to allow the very last stud to be cut with a hacksaw blade , but the other 7 bolts and studs came out after a few months under stress. Incidentally S+S are selling spare engines for refurbishment for twenty quid so I am driving up there next week to collect one. Then I will have the option of changing engines at my leisure.
