Saving a bit of money

Recommended Posts

I am sometimes amazed at the cost of parts, some are a good buy and some seem OTT.

The accelerator pedal is I think Very expensive, so It does pay to make your own when going LHD to RHD

Mine cost me £30.

But you must have a nice man who will loan you the correct new one to copy in the first place.

NB I didn't need the cable attachment Bracket.

Stuart the pedal I had rebent was the original LHD pedal which didn't have a stop.

Thanks for the tip, getting the plastic bushes in I remember from doing one ages ago was "Difficult" I used a heat gun on one this time and it was easy.

But its simple to overheat the little devil! and end up with a plastic Quatermass.

Coincidence or what???

I was about to post the question:

“Can anyone supply me with the measurements of the RHD throttle bar”

And then I see your post!

It’s only a bit of bent rod, after all…

As far as Quatermass is concerned, would that be “Quatermass1” or “Quatermass and the pit”.

Both terrified me as a kid.
